My Intentions

I, Bob Nichols would like to make it publicly known that, without any reservations, I wish, nor will take any further part in or for anything to do with the BOP issues on this site or any other.

 

For those who felt the idea of a shut in for a period of time may well of worked, I apologise, but you are on your own now.

 

For those, who felt I was anti, other campaigns, you are entitled to an opinion, and I apologise unreservedly for any comments I made that YOU thought I was aiming directly at you.

 

For those who think I am guilty by association with other members for disrupting these threads, YOU ARE ENTITLED TO YOUR OPINION, AS IS EVERYONE ELSE, and I have not denied anyone that right. I will just state that no one has their hand up my backside, I have and say MY OWN opinion. The fact that my view is the same or similar to another persons, DOES not make me their puppet. SAD people if you think otherwise.

 

For those who think I am walking away, because they have sent me threatening pm's and used another site and different alias to do so, YOU CAN HAVE THE SATISFACTION OF THINKING I HAVE SUCUMBED TO YOUR BULLYING. I KNOW DIFFERENTLY. I know who you are, and to bring my son into this shows how sick you are, and I wont even give you the satisfaction of putting you name up in lights, but show you the same contempt you show others.

 

My involvement and good reputation in Pigeon Racing has seen me through over 55 years in the Sport and I have decided that I am not going to allow a good reputation get tainted by a small minority on pigeon forums.

Was just about to reply when thread was locked, quite ironic really as I mention this in the reply. Some things never change Eh!

May be time to sort out the bully boys who threaten people via P.M's. I take my hat off to the people who air their thoughts and opinions on the open forum for all to see. I feel if some threads are kept open (within reason) then there is less chance of people arguing via P.M. where they may be more offensive and it obviously gets out of order. I personally have never encountered this but I imagine that some people could get quite stressed out with it (a bit like anonymous phone calls really). It's not good enough for this site and should be dealt with promptly. Nip it in the bud, now.

on a serious note  i for one think the mods do a great job when considering  the amount of different opinions  on here and its good that the threads are allowed but some times its better to be locked when it looks like its getting out of control  if it was not for the mods

it would just be a free for all  we have all seen what happens when no mods on  insults ridicule no wonder at times threats will happen when guys go out there way to wind some one up and go over the top  cheers Alan

Was not refering to you as a bully Pete but to the people who threaten via P.M's as stated in the thread. I know you ( moderators ) are doing what you do with good intentions and you will never keep everybody happy. I still feel it was unfair to lock Bob's thread as really he was trying to resolve matters. Seems your dammed if you do and your dammed if you don't.

Just because we don't have the same opinion and view as certain people we are branded as renegrades!

i think if summat is not done soon this site will be no more i have noticed more and more people are leaving or just not coming on any more. When i first joined u could ask for advice and get it but threads are getting hijacked more now so new memebrs want post jmo

You make it out as though we delete everything bob :-)   And thats how alot of things start getting out of hand on here, I know Bob did not mean it that way, But things are easily taken the wrong way when writtern in txt, as you can hear how it was meant to sound. And thats it then he said this she said that etc etc  ;D

everyone  on here has an opinion and thats good because it makes for good threads also there is good advice  for all but for having a different opinion  you are not or should not be a target for abuse  ridicule  and be threatened when there are no mods on it seems like its school s out  and some of the threads lately no wonder threats are thrown out when people are slagging women off which man would stand by and condone these actions and what man would not defend their  wife or family some guys come on here and try and cause as much havoc as they can then blame others  it needs to be stopped NOW  as enough is enough

it is true if richard didnt start this site then we wouldnt have a site,but in respect if the site didnt have members richard wouldnt have a site. so we are all responsible for keeping this site running smoothly although some do get out of hand.

How can you block a P.M. if it has already done the damage? You can only block further comms. and the guilty party is free to harrass others. Surely something can be done about these problems by the mods etc. There may even be legal implications. Some people take things to heart more than others and could suffer stress with threats playing on their minds. Not an easy one but surely well worth a lot of thought as these exchanges I think could very quickly escalate and end up serious.
