I know it’s stating the obvious but watch out for hawks.

I let my pigeons out this morning and whilst getting them in a hawk attacked. I chased it off it flew about 10 foot up and struck again not even 6 foot away from me. Fortunately it did not injure any. So watch out they seem desperate at the moment.

have a cock sparrowhawk fly past most mornings after the sparrows/goldfinch's off my bird feeders and neigbours bird feeders you no when there around all the small birds go made and dive into the bushes.only real time i see the hen is when she goes for my pigeons she wipes down the side of my house and wipes over top of my garden fence trying to take them of my loft roof or when they are out having a bath last time she had a go at my doo's she wiped over my head when i was coming out with the water fountain. a few feet above my head  havent seen the pergrine for a while been hit hard a few months ago's by pergrines there was 3 pergrines up hunting a few months ago got a wood near my house and a quarry a few miles from that suppose to be two breeding pairs in the quarry cliffs been told there goshawks in the wood near by me but had no problems with them.

cheeky sneaky and stupid. If it kills it will come back to finish it off, which can be a big mistake for the hawk!

i think i was very lucky this time the hawk was right amoust them they did take off and fly around for about 5 mins but they came straight back down and in they did'nt seem bothered.

I think they just thought it was another pigeon and what frightened them was me shouting at the hawk and trying to get it.

The hawks are getting very brave.

Got a surprise going home last night, around 7pm, in growing darkness , no other birds in sky, saw a sparrowhawk came across roof-tops flying against a strong wind. It had just come over a pouter loft location and was headed in direction of my my loft a couple of hundred yards away. Did not expect to see one flying in near dark, and no other birds in sky.
