greenlands Posted December 21, 2009 Author Report Posted December 21, 2009 After doing a bit more reading on Harriers it appears they don't bother pigeons or so the rspb say, they eat smaller prey.Still don't want them on my doorstep, most of the small birds have already disappeared. Lindsay.
Novice Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 We have had Hen Harriers nesting in this area on an RSPB site for a few years now. There is a camera on their nest. They are a bit slower than the well known murderers and as far as I am aware they take their name from their normal prey---hens. I don't think they are a threat to a fit healthy racer.
