I remember reading an article re colour feeding to help enrich the yolk of the egg. It was fed to pigeons prior to pairing right up until they laid. What the product was I cant recall but I know it was said to be very rich in Riboflavin's.

Thats it tony c spot on it enriches the egg yolk tried a couple of years ago as experiment and have used it ever since my opinion it gives the growing embro a great start to life dont get dead in shell dont get weak youngsters only healthy young hatch out ,and yes it is rich in riboflavin part of the b group of vitamins which is a must for racing pigeons as most feeding lacks it except linseed ,Forgot to add the late great Jack Adams used it all the time especially during the moult so think about it
