Guest Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Yes I do ........... but it is only one of many other factors which go to make up a good pigeons anatomy. Eyesign on its own does not defferentiate between a good 'un and a bad 'un
Guest Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 wot about breeding The same applies. There was a good thread on here some time back by Mr Barkel on his theories of eyesign
Guest puresoontjen Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 wot about breeding SOME DO GO ON EYE SIGN ON BREEDING. NOT TO PUT THE SAME SIGN EYE TOGEVER
Guest shadow Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 wot do you all think eye sign do you think there is anything in it a good pigeon has two and let the basket sort them :)
Guest Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 There has never been a shred of evidence to back eyesign theory up and as there has never been any scientific studies on the subject worthy of note it is only theorists who believe in the idea, eyesign and its enthusiasts versus realists are like Jesus or evolution argumentative, there's hard evidence that we evolved from apes well before Jesus existed but you try telling that to people who believe in Jesus. :-/
Guest Owen Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 Eyesign. The biggest load of nonsense ever. Why not breed from your best birds. Pair best to best judgeing on performance, because that is all that matters. Eyesign, Strains, Paper Pedigrees, Wings, Inbreeding, are all a load of tripe aimed at conning the gullible. The best pigeons have inherited winning genes and some of them pass those genes on to their offspring, if your lucky.

fred smyth Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 any one remember bill Carney the grate eye sign man,,
Guest Owen Posted July 7, 2009 Report Posted July 7, 2009 This Bill Carney. Unbeatable in the races was he? I read the book by SWE Bishop and was convinced by it. Since then I have heard all sorts of horror stories about the advice these quacks have given people. Mate this with that, get rid of that and those. This one is for long distance and this one is a breeder and it does not matter that it can not fly from the nearest town. It will breed winners in every nest. A load of crap from start to finish. Why waste time on things that have been proven to be useless. Why not concentrate on breeding from birds that win races paired to birds that win races. And before you shout at me, I know that winners do not always produce winners. But if you stick at it the winners do come, especially if you are useing birds that have won multiple races.

schouwman71 Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 theres a lot of fanciers who only reckon they know what there looking for in eye sign, thats why so many people go wrong with it,i use it always have,i started looking at it at 13 yrs old,the old eye sign books were a load of nonsence and crap, ive picked top breeders out in a few lofts and also picked birds out that will only breed rubbish, but many other factors come into it aswell, being a good stock man helps a lot and a good judge of pigeons,i use it always will,it works for me and ime happy with it,everybody has the rights to decide themselves thats what makes keeping pigeons interesting,we shudnt pull people down who believe in it and also the same with people who dont believe in it,everyone to there own.My best ever breeders had eyes like diamonds, never failed breeding winners.keep smiling lads, all the best. les
