this isny strange mate you breed what you breed  breed two cheqs and you can get blues no probs b ut they will be hens ,and w/f ,s x pieds will breed gay pieds .

i have a blue pyd cock and a cheq pyd hen the 2 youngsters in ther nest are white a thro back to the grand sire a white cock ,hope ther as good as him

take anoter look at this tread and u will see the hen is a slate cheq pie and can say from lots of experaience proper slaties can throw any colour when i find a top pair through a slate cheq thay bread at least 4 differant colours even reds from blues x cheq with slatie jeans, Y i dont no but thay seem 2 have missed what should b the normal colour that comes from blues and cheq,e.g thake a look at ch hard luck pure jannsen bought by fountainhead bread from cheq cock xred hen this caused contrivacy in the pigeon papers every one saying this is impossable but not so being jannsen,cus she was a red slatie carrying that blue jean im not up on genetics but speaking my findings and what ive come across.
