i put them through trap as soon as i move them and continue everyday  for a week then let them let themselves out after

I usually try to put them through in the evening,enough time so they can settle down for the night.The next day they are out on the loft front and every day after weather permitting.

The doors are opened 1 day after they are weaned,, they can hop in and out ,, the longer you leave it the higher risk of them flying away..
