how many youngsters to race now

went to mates after takeing boy to school had quite a shock at his young birds he bred 80 and is down to 52 loss.s from just round home how many have you bred and how many you lost befor you start traing??????

I bred 65 for myself and at the last count had 58 remaining

I know I have lost a couple to Percy with early morning flights and some visit a neighbour.

HI ALL

i bread 48 and only lost 1 that was to a HAWK and 1 down as he has a broken leg. i havn't trained as yet thats when most is lost

Started with 32, lost 6 to YBS and trained the remaining 26 up to 30 miles, still 26 in the loft

 

thats good up till now then well done you must be doing some thing right.

had 43 now 30 lost around the loft...all double stamped on each wing...13 lost.. :(

its mind boggling when you think most aint started traing yet so god knows what will be left when they do :-/ :-/ :-/

its gonna be losses big time shortly everyone training...watch out for the nighttime losses....i usually train mine very early morning...or if at night with several other fanciers.

two newport fanciers have had hideing from 6miles already im lucky i bred and gave away so aint going to suffer but i have 3pairs i want for next years breeding so will let them out last thing night :-/ :-/ :-/

i put 27 over , and i am down to 23 . a little disapointed 4 have gone ,now live in a heavily populated area with two peregrine nests less than half a mile away .                  andy.

i keep my birds at home in the garden with no other fanciers within 4 miles of me.  may have something to do with why they have all stayed

breed 50 in april,  been away ranging a lot lately.

 

vaccinated them last night and still had 50 which is a nice supprise.

 

usually the swing wings have got a lot bye now,  touch wood it stays ok

i started with 16 and have 15

and mum had 17 whites and still got em all

92 ybs, i lost 5 to the Hawk and killed 4 as they were moping about.

so for the              benifit of anyone looking in re hawks what this member means is  the   ones mopeing were ill not that they were culled as just lazy???????

trained 64 from magor services (m4) 9 miles took em all day to come first bird took 3 hrs

finally lost four picked one up sat one came back on its own steam sun morning after 10 days (so im 2 down belgium rung a white hen and blue pied) just in case you get hold of em numpty01

Started with 34, lost 6 in one hit, had one of those back and then lost another 1 so now 28 to play with. This bunch are kit chasers thats for sure! Everything that comes through they are off with it for hours on end. Had 3 short tosses so far which have all gone to plan.
