Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 What is it that gives birds bright white wattles some of y/bs have really white ones but others have darker ones, all birds are healthy as i have just had this confirmed by a lab test just wondering what if anything gives white wattles thanks
pjc Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 potasium perm in the water will make them glow white
Tony C Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Some say a plentyful supply of oyster grit helps keep their wattles snow white. To me off white wattles = off colour pigeons.
Guest ShaneGate Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 When you see the white ting pink they are in the pink(old boxing saying)

Guest Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 When you see the white ting pink they are in the pink(old boxing saying) Spot on mate
Guest IB Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 One reason for dirty wattles that's not a 'health' problem - mock feeding, when youngsters pair up, wattles can get stained.
