pigeonpete Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 dont mean to be nosey but how have you got 34 latebreds you no its hard enouth to get yearlings going next year are you just starting this year or did you have a bad young bird program with the rest of us well i have only got 9 ob cocks, and 3 yb cocks to go with them, did not lose any ybs racing, but as i posted up a while back i had a disaster training chuck with 2 perigrines hitting into them, never got a bird on the day ended up with 15 (2 badly injured) so raced 13. got a new loft coming in next couple of months, so yes i am trying to get a bigger team, this is my 4th year, and with the stoat in 2006 and paratyphoid in 2007 im not having much look :-) have aquired a few off people off here, and managed to get 18 latebreds off the top flyer in our fed for free, i went and put the rings on them, all off his stock birds!!! so i could not say no to them billy :-) Have plans on reaching the top 1 day :-) i WILL get there in the end
Guest KING BILLY Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 i hope you do mate and if i can help just let me know there is a lot to nock you out the game and not a lot to keep you in it and the start you have had well lets not go there all the best TAM ;)
fred smyth Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 i got 14 latebreads but wasn't going to bother racing them them as they are very late eg aug /sept bread , is it worth traing them up and giving them a couple of in land races or better just to let them sit,, this is my 1 st year back in them since 1990 ,,
