peterpau Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 what an absolute supreme effort these pigeons made , to be timed in after flying approx 750 miles , congratulations to both, the pigeons , and the owners , My birds have 751 miles to do and I don't think any have got this far as yet. Twas a tough one and all credit to those that have them. I aint given up hope yet though.
peterpau Posted July 1, 2008 Report Posted July 1, 2008 Twas 23 birds last night. Might be wrong but the longest flying bird may be Bristol. It aint been a good 'un but when Mick McGrevy gets one, then I will feel beaten cos his birds have to do over 800 mile. Bugger I'd feel great to beat him and some of the other longer flyers.
peterpau Posted July 5, 2008 Report Posted July 5, 2008 I am still two boxes missing there owners and still hope to get them but ! I see one bird in Telford and that is nice to know at least one has made it past 700mile belonging to J & T Barnett and daughter. FANTASTIC.
Guest Posted July 5, 2008 Report Posted July 5, 2008 1 IN WALES IT WAS TODAY AND IT IS THE SAME PIGEON THAT WAS FIRST IN WALES LAST YEAR .
peterpau Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 Les there is only one winner, but that welsh bird is without doubt a top pigeon as is the one in Telford. I think we need to look further than the top of the result to see good pigeons. But any pigeon that has flown Palamos or Barcelona is well worth its corn.
Guest Posted July 6, 2008 Report Posted July 6, 2008 wilf reed has just clocked a barcelona pigeon into wales at 9.41

Ronnie Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 Well done Peter .Its more than luck to come from that distance must love its home and owner . Well done mate
billy wilson Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 well done peter fantastic as the injuries the bird has had,if it can breed birds like itself you would have a great team together. good luck billy
mark Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 at 750 + it's beyond the luck stage , to get a bird from this distance its the skill of conditioning and good breeding selection , hope you all have a good race beyond luck, you all need a little luck.
peterpau Posted July 20, 2008 Report Posted July 20, 2008 beyond luck, you all need a little luck. Hawked twice and bashed at Palamos. I could not agree more.
