I think you could argue logically that the poorer - colder - wetter  the weather is in your area, the better quality feathering has to be and the stronger the character and constitution of your birds has to be. So, if you can identify those traits with certain 'strains' then you would have an answer.

 

Personally I would forget about the term strain and go to someone who wins in your area.

The obvious answer is similar to above,its the type/strain of birds thats winning on a regular basis  into whatever area its being raced

 

In a nut shell the answer is deffinately Yes!

Of course location make make the birds hardier etc. and ALL accustome to the weather condition ...

But a better question is Strains V locations.... Location everytime, bar when Haley's commet gets lost in Africa's 'Blue Moon'!

yes i agree,different strains fly better in different locations,the harder the land the harder the pigeons you need.Those pigeons the fly the full distance into scotland are very hard good pigeons,on flat land into yorkshire maybe wouldnt win,?
