Does anybody still keep this family of pigeons , it is what my old family were based on and I heavily inbred to a pure bred Joe Shore cock

Just wondered if there were any still any around as would love to start with these again before looking for a new strain to start back up with

His son flown 500 miles 3 times and father to my cock that was only bird on the day in the club at 500 miles 6th fed 7 day birds

Unfortunately NO  :o my lofts were on the farm where I worked and when I was made redundant I had to get rid and nobody local was interested in them as they all fly the newer Belgian and Dutch super families (although my Shores did a good job of beating them lol)

 

 

Just wish I could find some more now I am re-starting

I remember meeting Joe, a great guy, somebody must still have some of his birds but i think its a few years since i've seen any.

The Joe Shore birds were real quality.

I had a friend who introduced them into this area and wone with them almost immediately.

I believe the originals were managed very close to nature.

Unfortunately I don't know anyone who has these now.
