Guest Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 i would have to see it done.o clock man check the left hand colum it dosent say dluedoo
frank-123 Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 i timed in two birds in the same second using ets last year second last and last lol
Guest Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 Can't help much in the T3 debate. One member says he has timed two birds on exact same second; he doesn't think it does decimal points of second; another member thinks it does. I'm fairly sure I've seen the decimal point thing???
MsPigeon Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 I also had two pigeons clock in at exactly the same time twice last season useing Unikon ETS. The 12 inch sensor pad they cross over actually has two readers side by side. Carol
Guest Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Carol did winspeed place them in Band Numerical order
MsPigeon Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Linda, Winspeed did place them in numerical order but the quirky thing is it gave more points to the lower placed bird. And then funnier yet it gave the third place diploma to the one listed second and the second place diploma to the one listed third. I went in and manualy gave them equal points and diplomas at club level, as they should be equal.
carl Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 i dont belive for a minute you can time 2 birds in the same second and have a t 3 and im very quick at timming in I agree, how can you time two birds on the same second with a t3,NO CHANCE AT ALL unless your superhuman
westburylofts Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 I can assure you i am not superman, but have had two birds on the same second at 13.37.03 from 105 mile's we had 12 drop together and only timed in two We use a sputnik trap with a back gate, caught two birds then put the rubbers into two thimbles then timed them in. RAY
Guest Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Managed to time 2 birds in, in 3 seconds with an old Toulet 10 birder
Guest Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 youve timed two birds in the same second but you have lost time if you got one rubber then timed it straight you couldnt time the second bird on the same second its impossable
T_T Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 Hi All, I always thought, the pigeons racing home had to break a beam of light to register their time ie : open door, bob hole but of course with reading a little I now understand they have to hit a foot pad before registering. Absolute gold mine for our disabled fancier friends and one loft races. I still prefer to run ( whilst I can ) up the garden falling over the Jack Russell timing in my first one. I'm still not too sure about the security of such a sytem and if ever it is found to be flawed and we all have one, what then. My simple answer is, Don't know.
Guest Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 not too sure about the security of such a sytem and if ever it is found to be flawed and we all have one, what then. Don't think it will be any different from the history of how the conventional clocks developed over 100+ years. Bit of trial & error in any new product. One of the current intrigues 'newly' come to light is that ETS is programmed to print a minimum of 4 digits in the bird's ring number. OK for su06x1000; but su06x999 will be printed as su06x0999. So until the makers come up with a programme rewrite, fanciers will need to 'strike out and sign' that leading Zero on their ETS-printed race sheets, because there's no leading Zero on the bird's metal ring.
andy Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 BRUNO, YOUR HAVING A LAUGH ABOUT THE ZERO.....DONT KNOW IF YOU KNOW BUT WHEN THE ETS SYSTEMS WERE APPROVED BY THE SHU THEY DIDNT JUST SAY I EVERYTHINGS FINE YOU CAN USE IT............THEY ACTUALLY APPROVED THE SOFTWARE AS WELL!!!!!!!!! MAYBE YOU SHOULD THINK HOW STUPID YOUR POSTING READS, OR ARE YOU JUST TRYING TO STIR UP OLD SH**E... ANDY MILLER.......
Guest Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 BRUNO, YOUR HAVING A LAUGH ABOUT THE ZERO............ You obviously don't know me, Andy. I don't stir sh**, I merely pass on the facts. Agree it sounds stupid. You and I know there's no difference between 0999 and 999. but that leading 0 on the printout arose in discussions within the SNFC on a motion to allow ETS from 2006. It is an effort to comply fully with SHU Race rule 14 'full ring particulars' which the real sh** stirrers might have used to try and stop its introduction, or stop a winning bird, through claiming an incorrect ring number on the race sheet. Computer programmes are constantly being updated: e.g. Windows 95, 98, 98SE, 2000, XP; Word 97, 2000 etc, and those programmes involved in ETS will be no different otherwise they will not be able to keep pace with other developments, e.g. combined metal registration & ets timing ring; gps etc.
Guest Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 WELL SAID ANDY How does that humble pie taste?
andy Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 FIFE-KING, I NEVER MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT PEOPLE NOT ALLOWED OPINIONS OR INSINUATED IT. LOOK AT THE FACTS. BRUNO SAID-------FANCIERS WILL NEED TO STRIKE OUT AND SIGN THE LEADING ZERO ON THEIR PRINT OUT........FACT..... HAVENT SEEN ANYTHING OFFICIAL FROM SHU STATING THIS.... FACT NOT FICTION OR OPINION......... ANDY....
andy Posted January 15, 2006 Report Posted January 15, 2006 BRUNO, I TAKE YOUR POINT ABOUT SHU RULE 14, BUT IF SHU PASS THE CLOCK AND SOFTWARE, IT SUPERCEDES THE SHOWING OF THE ZERO OR IT SIMPLY WOULD HAVE HAD TO BE ALTERED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED. THIS WAS BROUGHT UP AT CLUB LEVEL BY ME SO I ENQUIRED AND WAS TOLD IT WAS OKAY.... YOUR RIGHT IN AN IDEAL WORLD, AND IN THE FUTURE IM SURE UNIKON WILL ALTER IT... ANDY.......
Guest Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 BRUNO SAID-------FANCIERS WILL NEED TO STRIKE OUT AND SIGN THE LEADING ZERO ON THEIR PRINT OUT........FACT..... HAVENT SEEN ANYTHING OFFICIAL FROM SHU STATING THIS.... FACT NOT FICTION OR OPINION......... ANDY.... I didn't know anything about the leading zero business until the subject was brought to a recent meeting totally unrelated to clocks and SNFC. It originated from SNFC discussions where the 'solution' was seen as use of ets and a conventional clock... I'd say that was nonsense, and as it had effectively been brought to the attention of our own Fed officials, a simple alternative was put forward for our own Fed, strike out the leading zero. I'd expect that to feed back to SNFC. The gist of my posts is fact, not fiction, and where my opinion is given, its clearly stated as so, in the first person.. I. Also I mentioned SNFC, not the SHU ... and it is SNFC's clock rules (currently no ETS) which were the subject of my original post.
Guest Posted January 16, 2006 Report Posted January 16, 2006 BRUNO, WHAT YOU ON ABOUT ????? How does that humble pie taste?

tartanboy Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 Fife King, funny how you believe anything about the ets systems and are obviousily biased towards this system,if the bird failed to register on the pad would this be any worse than it returning without a rubber which has been the case with myself, whats your point caller,i also thought to my self heres someone with a t-3 which is more expensive than ets when you count it up and lo and behold two pages later he admits to have one. Also this appears to be old hat those for and those against, give people a choice, maybe the walkaways are running scared again.
