If you have more than one body claiming National status then you have no National .... I cannot make it any simpler than that....this is the point I have been trying to make this past couple of days....this will be my last word on the subject.......expletive remove pigeon racing has become a lot harder than it used to be .....& most of it has nowt to do with the birds lol

Guest slugmonkey Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 Lennut from what I have read and seen of your posts I doubt you are of that group but I admire your humility What I am saying is that most that are leaving over this isuue are NOT the ones that are doing the REAL work of promoting the sport and having fun anyhow, the ones that we lost were the trouble makers and control freaks, as my father once told me show me a man who worries constantly about who is stealing from him and I will show you a thief, I belive that this same philosophy applies here, when we got it we had several guys that threatened to leave and a couple did, that was their loss not ours the real test here is NOT if a guy is willing to put up with progress but is he willing to accept a hindrance to continue. and by that I mean if tomorrow they decided that ets was to go away how many would stay then ?? Something to think about
johno Posted April 19, 2008 Report Posted April 19, 2008 snrpc have managed pretty well so far on their own. financially sound. solid gold medal awarded to principal race winner. silver medal to other national winners. bronze to section winners. arranged up to date excellent geraldy transport. cut one day off length of stay in basket for pigeons going overseas. provides facilities for nfc saintes race. open to all scottish fanciers/lofts who are members of any recognised ruling body. surviving excellently so far. point on ypres situation. snfc passed on proposal from mayor of ypres to snrpc, after snrpc program and transport arrangements had been made for 2008. snfc passed on same information to other british organisations and got same response. as far as i know details were available since last year. put on the table in february 2008. poor communications and information transfer have meant time restrictions scuppered any chance the ypres idea would be a gb event.
