Has anyone ever heard of dark skinned Ybs being rubbish? I have been told this and would like to assure the fancier that there is no difference. Can anyone shed any light on this "Theory"?

Pink skin is always a good sign of health at any age. Sick birds esp young go very grey which is normally a sign the internal organs are shutiing down and the end is near.

I recall a similar discussion on here years ago, when I posted that some of my darker-coloured birds appeared to have darker skin, especially at the feather-shafts-coming-through stage, and their legs appeared darker too.

I think its just that - an appearance. They ended up with pink skin like the rest.
