Guest bigda Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 geting told the birds are away, hates getting told and no explanation , your not going :-/
Guest Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 Enjoy - seeing the youngsters developing in the nest, watching the birds coming into form, making good friends through the birds, timing in from a hard long distance race. Dislike - politics, false and unsporting people, apathy, losing good birds.
fletch Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 like saturday when the birds come well and look great also like the breeding season seeing the babies, dislike it when things go wrong and losses of good birds also dont like going to the corn shop lately lol..
mark proctor Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 What do u enjoy about racing pigeons or what do u hate about racing pigeons. i enjoy watching them when they fold up like a hawk on race days....but hate it when she gets out of bed at 6am to clean them out and wakes me up...lard *expletive removed*.... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Guest pigeonboyno1 Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 The the best thing for me is when we get told that the birds have been liberated and the bad things are when its a holdover or u lose a pigeons that is one of the best.
Guest numpty01 Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 hate it all and love it all just depends on the day
retired Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 hate a lot, enjoy very little lately. Very much the same at the minute Mick Most enjoyable things for me are - Sitting relaxing in the garden whilst watching the birds out. Friends i have met through the sport Race day the buzz of waiting for each of the birds to come back Worst things for me are - Having to be continously on guard for a whole range of stupid ailments (and super strains) The ridicolous cost of keeping the birds now The politics involved in the game
just ask me Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 love simple really the waiting game they should be here now and one zooms in over your head love to see what the younsters turn out like out of that pair that u had in your head all year hate well there should be more competion what i mean by this 1 club one area un less there a north and south 2 clubs but if i had my way just fly one way i know this sounds like a dream but would be good :-/
Guest vining45 Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 like the felling when you see a bird coming with wings pulled back as it darts for home hate the sparrow hawk thats right behind it or thats how it seems lateley
Tony C Posted May 17, 2009 Report Posted May 17, 2009 I enjoy the challenge of it all. Hate losing pigeons.
Ronnie Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 i love and hate race day. Sitting there waiting with frayed nerves pacing the garden thinking they should be in.Have i set them up right did i feed enough did i feed to much Getting your first bird and you know its a good un then worrying why no others have come in then smiling when you get a full lock up then frowning when you realise your behind at the club but smile when you get home and think at least the birds are home and theres still next week.... Best thing of all is your first win of the season i got mine this week and still smiling now. On a side not i try to ignore politics and bad sportsmanship i can only do what i feel is right if we worried what everyone else was thinking or doing we would never be happy.
Guest Posted May 18, 2009 Report Posted May 18, 2009 i love a bird surprising me! being better than what i originally gave it credit for by looking at it!! hate when a peregine eats him
