Guest SkyMaster Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 if there cunny's then no! ;D ;D ;D and check he doesn't try and cover them with stamp ink! Nah werent cunnys his birds fly that fast the lice cant hold on lolll ;D so whats the rules or do they just make up there own
blaz Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 dont know the rule but i spry my lot if i see any on a bird.
pjc Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 there are no rules regarding lice but if markers don't consider a bird to be healthy then they should reject it for the good of the other fanciers birds it will mix with in the crates.
Guest SkyMaster Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 lice will spread in the crate aswell so its poinless powdering my birds for lice cause there just gonna get more in the club and in our club theres no set people who put birds through its just who ever can be bothered lol maybe thats the problem everyones seeing things differently lol personally i would reject ones with lice
Guest SkyMaster Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Yes thats very true but a pigeon dosent have to have lice to be healthy ;D
Guest WINGS 04 Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 is it lice or qwill lice you are on about
Guest Owen Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Do you know I can't believe what I hear and read sometimes. How can you ever justify lice on the birds. To me, it's pure laziness. You can use the argument that they are only on healthy birds, but it is still lazy not to deal with them. What about head lice in your kids? Is that OK to? They like clean hair so it is a good sign if the child gets them. Is'nt it? I would be willing to bet that the people who do'nt bother with lice probably spread all sorts of other problems as well. I can hear it now. "No, I do'nt worm 'em". "No, I do'nt vaccinate 'em". I wonder what else they do'nt do.
Roland Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Head lice on kids is different Owen and well you shoud rewalise. Yes lice are a neccate for pigeons. Only thing is most moan when they get them on their shirt when marking. Why do fanciers think licew is a bad thing :-/ :-/ Yes outside of them getting on your shirt. Lice are very much an integreal part of healthy feathering. Indeed, outside of being bullied, and ignorant markers spouting rubbish, just why should I be coersed into doing what i don't want to... especially when it may well be detrimental to the birds? :-/ :-/

Roland Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Better I'd say is to ask 'What harm do they do'? :-/ Yes we know the benefits, and the good they do!! ... out side of misery whinging about brushing them of his shirt lol. mark them using a velvet clothe, taking care not to harm or dislogde them would be a better order of the day eh!
Guest SkyMaster Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Why do we get powders and spray to treat our birds for lice then? we all know its a sign of good health whats so bad about killing the lice its just lazyness
Roland Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Well Skymaster, in that case why is that the Belgiums don't have the powders and further keep them on the birds? :-/ :-/ :-/ They don't de lice for starters.... but then, what the heck do they know :o
Guest SkyMaster Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 owell il never powder my birds again just thought the extra weight might slow them down ;D
