Terry Lodge of Top Lofts UK bought full rounds from Jan Grondalaers which he later sold to Gerald Delaney,Gerald in turn also had birds from Jan Grondalaers direct but i think neither man obtained Jan Grondalaers stock birds

i bought the WE cock from Mr Goldsmith, entire clearance sale,of the UNC and it is a Grondalaer, the pigeon won the sea link trophy for the best performance in the NE homing union.  and its breeding winners

"I" believe a young Jos Thone would cycle to the lofts of Jan Grondalaers to just watch his birds train and on race days watch with many others as they arrived home, believe before jan passed away he became very friendly with the young Mr Thone.

Sid Day had these pigeons many years ago and i think he still has, i believe he flew in one of the Scarborough Clubs then moved into sticks but all his applications to join other clubs were rejected , he used to send to open races with Cayton Bay Invitation ( only as trainners ). These birds were pure class nice handling Blue check / blue bars and i think 2 blacks, loved the wattles they were like doorsteps. He now flys with Cayton Bay Invitation
