We in the west section are without a gold cup winner for nearly thirty years .The last time this great race was won in the west was in 1980 by Matt white of Paisley with his famous Mealy hen Scotch queen. By the way it was a north west wind that day and nearly seven and a half thousand pigeons competing what a performance that day into PAISLEY.Since then there have been many a great performance from the west guys but that no1 spot seems just out of reach .CAN IT BE DONE THIS YEAR.

the birdage will  never be  like that again, unless we get the youth envolved,  a tall order but you never  know, with things  turning full circle there might be a chance ;D

The fanciers on here are doing there best to bring youth into the sport, they have sponsored 5 schools this year and with the sales 80 schools at least for 2010 in the Kingslea 1 Loft Race this is Free to the schools with prize money of £2,400 per syndicate.

Dout it but you never know. would exspect up east coast somwhere from st abbs to aberdeen in any wind you like. But hey you never know. if your not in it ye cant win it.
