I cannot get the terminal to communicate with the PC. This goes for everydoys clock in the club. Have bought new leads, loaded new software, used another PC and prayed to the almighty and still no change. Oh and I also emailed tauris in germany explaining that the club cannot race this weekend as the members are also at SNFC Falaise and dont have two clocks but they didnt mail back.

I expect you have to click on the right comm port.. so conect it all up and then click on options and then comp ports.. the pc won't communicate with the master unless the right comm port has been selected.. not sure what one it is but have a look.. If you look in the manual it will tell you about it..

The system has been working okayish for the last 3 years. I havent, to my knowledge, changed anything in the settings but then im no computer engineer. It only gives me option of com1 (which i have always used) or com3 which does HEE HAW. The system uses a 9pin connector

I used the TauRIS system for over three years and found it to be pretty good, but with moving clubs this year I now use Unikon and must say I find it to be a more user friendly system.

 

At the time the TauRIS system was okay for the money but if circumstances in my old club had been different then it would have been Unikon from the offset.......such is life!!!  :X :X :X

unikon is the best ets  without a dought

i have played about with most tauris bricon unikon mega ect

but unikon stands out a mile the only thing that lets it down well two

the time signal some times hard to get

and the beep when a pigeon arives im a bit deaf and cant hear it so have to chech the clock incase its missed

The tauris system works well when it works. The main problem I have is when it doesnt work your left on your own. The use of the laptop or PC in the system means that there are sooooooo many things that can go wrong and when they do YOU must have a decent grasp of computers
