hi can u fly though a open door when using e.t.s as im thinking of buy one unikon i like the sound of up to now 8)

Would be a waste of time because you would still have to catch the bird and pass it over the pad, unless you,ve got that much money you could have a pad in each nestbox.

i think your best option is to see the y/b season out. and then put a sputnik up and train them for the yearling to go in and out. and put the ETS under it. ;)

surely ets pad in open doorway pigeon has to pass over pad to go thru open door there fore clocked inside confines of loft as per union rules ;)

Previous threads on here the preference has been to catch the bird and 'swipe' it over the pad. I have ets with open door but it is an unusual set-up with birds flying directly into an aviary and landing right at a floor-level ets trap that gives them access to the whole loft. I follow the birds in through the open door to make sure they go through the ets trap right away.

The previous post about a pad in the open doorway wouldn't work. It has limited range so the bird flying over would probably not record - it must walk over the pad to ensure a time-in.

Even if they have quartz clocks they still have to use thimbles.

Depends what clock you have t3s you can use without thimbles and some Stb,s you can also use.
