Mixxy Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 can any experts on colours tell me what you could get pairing a red chequer to a blue (slight pied).just bred 2 and i am bit worried they may not have the same dad.i have no ideas on the colour of these two parents.
will Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 you should breed, from a red cheq cock to blue bar hen, blue bars, mealys, blue cheqs, red cheqs.all could possibly be pied if one of the parents is w/f or pied.
REDCHEQHEN Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 If the red cheq is a hen and the blue a cock - all reds/mealies will be cocks and blue / blue cheqs will be hens - any could be pied
Guest Freebird Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 This may help. http://racing-pigeon-fancier.com/opal_factor.htm#colour
Guest Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 The chequer of the pair would have to carry bar for any bar offsping to be produced, if it doesn't carry bar all ofspring will be chequered.
REDCHEQHEN Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 http://www.national-federation.co.uk/Pigeon_Calculator_Advanced.htm it seems a very indepth calculator if only I knew (evil)
