Not quite following you. Had Red been missing and just turned up today? Or was it flying today with the others and first to roof? Either way, sounds like something has been about the loft and spooked them all. Dark now, they'll all be up there till daylight tomorrow.

i would be very cautious with the red when you get it in, put it in a nestbox on its own for a week or so, not only that but your other birds have been next to it on the roof which could start to some sort of ailment amongst them if the red has picked anything up mate, better safe than sorry ;)

Maybe don't let them out so late as well as you said it was getting dark it would be even darker in the loft for feeding on return.

Sorry, but it doesn't add up. Watch the skies around you, with darkness coming, every wild bird heads home - to its roosting place for the night. Homing pigeons are no different, even when fed, the coming darkness should have made them anxious to get into their loft and perched up for the night. Sounds like something spooked them.

Mines head for the safety of the loft whether they are fed or not, has the hawk attacked your birds in or around your loft, if so the birds will be spooked  :-/

van reets from what you have said in your previous posts ( birds sitting on roof tops all day) i dont think you have control over your birds, and they control you. they must think the roof top is there perch, as they spend most of there time on there. YOU nees to gain control and fast, or it will only end up in misery for you and your neighbours  ;) .Dont be to nice to them  :-/. cut that feed right down, Hunger over comes most things  ;)
