Guest Owen Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Paul I am trying out a Staff van Reet in the Stock Loft next year. I bought him and I have his prize cards with him. So I am hoping for the best. What are the Frank Tasker pigeons based on and what sort of distance are they bred for? The pictures you have shown on here are very impressive, I must say.

Guest strapper Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 the taskers i have are direct from frank and ann..i had 12 directs..no crosses. i have two children from turbo filmstar..which is a direct son of champion filmstar himself. i havent tested them really but i flew them to 360mls ...reims this year i was 2nd club..clocked same min and a sec apart but lost on overfly of about 1-200yrds. one hen has been 7th/18th fed and was 15th fed lilliers this year..ive raced very lightly. i believe one of the same way bred i have, has already won a national for frank...last year. the pair i have from turbo filmstar ..the dam of the pr i have is a direct daughter of paul haeltermans champion hen ..my darling..1st national la souterraine 1986. i also have birds from milenium filmstar..1st national berwick over 4000 birds. i also have the willy thas here too from frank. also m&g caeserts frank is a gentleman. some of the best birds ive ever had...
dwh Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 thanks for the info looks like old coms is gonna be rather expensive
Ulsterlofts Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 I have won club, fed, section, NIPA Opens with Taskers and Tasker crossed, I have won with them from the 1st race right out to France into Northern Ireland, I went and stayed with Frank & Ann about 3 weeks ago and i must say he has class in abundance. Frank & Ann are two of the nicest most genuine people you could ever hope to meet its a privilege to call them friends.

Wiley Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Taskers are great birds, ive had them win, club, federation, amalgamtion, and respectable positions in the top 100 of LNRC
Guest strapper Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 ive not raced at national level yet but going by vel in the results i would have been 9th nat lilliers 254mls and 10th nat.. reims 360mls..trouble is picking the right ones ...winning the lottery would be easier ;D ;D ;D
Guest strapper Posted November 3, 2009 Report Posted November 3, 2009 heres some info on champion filmstar himself..a trully remarkable pigeon. a pigeon we can only dream about owning. When Frank Tasker speaks about his Champion ‘Filmstar’, you can hear the pride in his voice, and quite rightly too, as he owned the ultimate in a racing pigeon. ‘Filmstar’ was wonderful to look at and handle, and he was also a champion breeder. He was bred from the very best Mencke Haelterman bloodlines, and his sire, ‘Blue Telstar’ being obtained via Claude Hetru of Lomme, France. ‘Blue Telstar’ was a direct son of ‘Eole’, the champion of the champions; being the winner of 1st. open National Royan and 1st. open National Poitiers. The dam of ‘Filmstar’ was ‘Jonge Whitenose’, bred by Frank and Ann Tasker and they said she was one of the best breeding hens they ever owned. Her sire is the base of their entire loft, the champion breeder, ‘Blue Eole’, and he was a full brother to Champion ‘Eole’, winner of twice 1st. open National. A wonderful family of pigeons! Champion ‘Filmstar’ won 26 times 1st. prize, 12 times 1st. open Federation and in 1986 was the R.P.R.A. Sprint Champion of Great Britain. He also won two R.P.R.A. Awards and 7th. World Champion Versela Laga. Frank says, he was the base of his present loft and his children have bred at least 50 times 1st. open Federation winners. He is grandsire and great grandsire of ten 1st. open National and Classic winners including, ‘Starlett’, 1st. open N.F.C. Pontorson for Ced and Clive Allwright, ‘Digit’, 1st. open M.N.F.C. Nantes for Dave Sharratt, 1st. open C.S.C.F.C. Rennes for Tony Hayne, 1st. open C.S.C.F.C. Bergerac for Staddon Brothers, 1st. open Up North Combine Abbeville for Les Thurlow, two champion racers for G. White & son and of course 1st. open North Road Championship Club Berwick National in 2000 for Frank and Ann Tasker. Champion ‘Filmstar’, a once in a lifetime pigeon! as you can see...a brilliant racer and breeder. frank must be very proud to own it...i know i would be! this little read was taken from another site ..not trying to take credit for writing it.
