It doesn't treat thrush - which is a yeast infection - therefore it does not treat yeast infections FULL STOP

I think we have all had a brilliant demonstration of the level of knowledge available on this forum, yet again. A simple question was asked and we have the fullest anwers possible. Fantastic.

Whats wrong with the provision of mother nature which provides us with good olde " Cider Vinegar " 10mls to 2 litres of water for 2 days per week keeps the YEASTS at bay cannot survive in an acidic enviroment NCD ( No Can Do ) therefore no Yeasts no food for the bacterial / infections to feed from so the invasive bacteria dies and our pigeons immune system remains strong effective and intact without having to resort to using antibiotics. food for thought???

Yeast is a plant, not all of them are pathogens - candida is the commonly known one, causing thrush in humans.

 

The main relationship yeast have with bacteria is that bacteria release natural substances which keep yeast numbers in check. The most common reason for yeast infection is the use of an antibiotic which removes these bacteria and allows yeast to flourish out of control.

 

Yeast is a normal part of 'good' gut microflora. Saccharomyces is one and is used in some probiotics.

 

As well as cider vinegar, garlic was also found to be effective against pathogenic yeast. One paper states it was more effective than nystatin on candida albicans.

 

But I think maintaining a healthy gut microflora would do the complete job.

yep  keep it simple  as the man say natural stuff all the time , even salt, has its use, sugar, honey, jam,   soda,  my fav cinnimon  sage,   fennel, oragano, all them  cheap herbs  just google search  them  they will blow yer mind   and dont for get curry powder
