billy wilson Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 pamamginate of potash is great for anyone who has athlete feet where all the toes get sweaty and infected and skin coming off but dont put too much in the basin just a small pinch as to much turns your feet brown for weeks, just steep your feet in warm water till it goes cold, twice a day and you will heal your feet in no time. billy

Guest shadow Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 i was told to use some hay in a net & that supposed to soak up the algi must be barley straw hay will not work
tarzan Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 got a small jar yesterday £1 .20. not sure how much to use please ! i always use what i can get on end of a matchstick, thats enough to colour the water ,
Novice Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 I get it out and have look The UV filter would be in line between the pump and the filter. It works by coagulating the fine algae particles into larger ones which can be removed by filtration. The other method is to place barley straw in the pond at the start of the year. The straw starts to becompose and releases an enzyme which stops the algae forming. It takes a while to work but it is effective. Some day you will thank me for that rubbish.
