Roland Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 i have been noticing this last while slugs all around my garden and i am wondering if i put circle of salt around my shed i know it will kill the slugs but will the salt affect the birds Not unless they are B.O.P lol ;D ;D ;D
weecunny Posted October 10, 2009 Report Posted October 10, 2009 the salt no harm ur birds but the slugs will mate
Guest IB Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 My wife uses salt at the back step to deter slugs & snails, but it attracts my pigeons to the back door, especially the hens, Their trails make one mess of slabbed areas too. That's a drawback about having a secure back garden, it stops the hedgehogs visiting and they make a meal of slugs and snails. When I first moved here, hedgehogs used to come into our front gardens as soon as darkness was falling. Roadkill has stopped that.
