ChrisMaidment08 Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 on jokey note maybe he came out on serious note have you checked him for growth
OLDYELLOW Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 older cocks tail feathers can become stiff and if in stock arent as fit i would cut his tail feathers off to see if it helps and lighten his feed
Guest cloudview Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 if the bird is usedout at your place i would let him have his liberty, more so on his own with his hen , get down to buisness then with no distractions just my way to start with
Guest Dublin lofts Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 tail feathers were cut, feed was cut back, allowed to fly out every day, this bird looks as he did when racing if not better and in great shap still just not filling.
Larry Lucas Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 Older cocks sometimes don't fill eggs until the days are warmer and the hours of daylight increased. Is he on lights now? If not, put him on 14 hours of light a day and put him back with his hen after two weeks. Gonads in birds are affected by the length of days (light).
ChrisMaidment08 Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 which could affect his erectile capabilitys

The Navigator Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 I have some stuff here. It worked for me. PM me and i will send some up.
Guest Dublin lofts Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 loft is open 24/7 all year round, lights go on around 5 till 8 this time of year
pigeonscout Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 If the eggs are not filled crack them open if the yoke is intact then the cock is at fault if the yoke is mixed with the white of the egg it is the hen who is at fault. Try a eye drop of Vit E on his food every other day for two weeks before pairing.
REDCHEQHEN Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 We have a 1999 cock and hen - and the only way we have got youngsters from them is to let them lay (check eggs - if not full - float another set of fertile eggs under them) let them bring up the youngsters - and the next lot of eggs have been fertile
REDCHEQHEN Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 can you still get blue they're now sold in tubes of blue only (as well as the multicoloured ones)
Guest Dublin lofts Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 will try anything and everything next season
