BLACK W F Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 the right ones are hard to find as not the in fashion i would look around the N E ENGLAND yorkshire areas these where the hotbed where they raced if you get the right ones they will win out of turn and the harder the day the better they where getting them out to 500 mls

The Game Keeper Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 ive flown the herman pigeons for some years now very succesfully they cost me a fortune to buy in from the best herman men of there time most people have crossed them but i have kept them pure very fast up pigeons out to 400 miles always keeping me at the top in good competition i believe they were amongst the best pigeons to come into yorkshire one local fed has even closed there boundary to me and there is no other club that will allow me to joine

The Game Keeper Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 my herman pigeons came from bill and roy ward reg benton ronny wilburn tenant and co hamilton bros smith bros also some derick mitchum garden centre lofts but these were vander weyers karel hermans stepp son
BLACK W F Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 they where probally one of the best sprint /middle dist to come out of Belg very fast and the first guys who had them in the N E kept quiet about them my old Herman family where fantastic good feathering they where based on the champ meil the jef who was sold for big money to America there is a write up in one of old BHW stud books on the jef and his owner an american fancier they proved to be fantastic for plenty of the newcastle fanciers who flew them a lot of them come through the Walter Pedders birds as walter had the best the best birds i ever owned only got one old stock ck left
