I have a 2001 hen that keeps "panting". I have treated her for respiratory problems twice but she still appears to be panting all the time. Any ideas/suggestions? :(

is she panting or..got a throat full of canker?..canker will sometimes give this impression.

look into her throat .

also if throat clear she could have an internal problem and the panting could be her way of relieving the pain.

if it was indeed respiritry and your loft hasnt been adjusted to help the ventilation then it will keep on returning , however it could be canker

Her throat is clear, no nasal discharge. She has not been bred this year and is not overweight. I have given her a 5 day course of Vita King 5 in 1 and a 5 day course of 20/10 Tylosin/Amox 1 tab twice daily.
