hi, is it normal for the stock birds to have watery droppings while rearing young, the floor in the loft seems very wet. or is there something that i'm missing giving them.

how bad is the floor? do you set traps for mice?

Seems pretty bad, yes i do set traps for mice but maybe i should set more, i have poison down in boxes outside the loft but probably need to re stock them

if there not getting enough grit and minerals, they will drink nore water this giving your birds watery dropings.

 

Should i give grit daily i also have some black minerals in a bag in the garage should i use it and if so how much

All they have been getting is matrix twice a week at the most is this not enough

grit and minerals are available to my birds all the time

Grit fresh every day,black minerals ok but give them a little amout at a time or they will go mad for it ,then your worse of than before.

If you've got matrix a little every day,shouldn't need any other stuff matrix as it all in it.

yes u should give git 24/7 your minerals are no good in your garage,it may also pay 2 take your drinkers out every day  4 a few hours and just put it back in with eletro light every day till u know what GOING ON it may b para if thay not jabed

Back to the guessing game again and could be many things but I would be looking at the old problem of either Bacterial or Fungal probs . Wouldn't be any doubt in my mind

agree with big bok sounds like cocci or some other form of stress

have the young birds got waterey dropings if not dont worry if they have get rid of them separate old birds get droppins tested or get them tested to give you pease of mind ;)

i must have every thing wrong i would think the last thing you would want to do when the droppings are loose isgive them stuff to make them drink more i would give a little origo stim in the water maybe some electrolites or garlic but i think sometime they get a bit excited on the 1st nest of the season JMO
