did you let your birds sit more than 8 days on there second round eggs,if so that is the reason there throwing flights.

nope they were all split when the first pair were sitting 8 days the cock in question was only sitting 4 days the yearling 7 days

correct me if im wrong but its one thing that i learned all those years ago that the moult is normally trigerred on the second round of eggs after rearing on the first. in other words you should have split them before they went back down on the second round of eggs. i know of some top roundabout /widowhood fliers that lift either the cock or hen away when the first young/round is/are about 14 days old and only one parent finnishes them off . they do this to stop the moult . again jmo.

just hope he stops for you  but when he starts again he will be on his second . not great for the gold cup mate ,but good luck anyway.
