Lupin Seeds

has or does anyone use lupin seeds ,(from the garden flower)

i have heard that these seeds are very benificial to the pigeons to produce fats and are a good source of energy especially when racing the long distance

I have read that also - but I was always lead to believe that lupin seeds were poisonous

one always wonders if some information is put on these sites with malicious intent, certainly the information I saw referring to this some time ago mentioned blue lupin seeds specifically - but I would never use lupin seeds knowing that they were poisonous to children anyway. Sunflower seeds are probably similar in fat content and very safe for both humans and pigeons - so why take any risks.
