Think you will find that it is the norm during the winter months.

I started it on Sunday and feed at 8am.

Time of day will depend on your work & other commitments.

if you feed once a day the pigeons metabolism will slow down , it think that its starving then the bird stores energy as fat so in answer to that question i'd say no

Whilst in moult feeding always in front of the pigeons with fresh food put down in front them twice a day, winter months will most times feed once a day and in spring and summer fed between two and five times a day.

Sorry !!!!!!!!!  ;D ;D ;D "LMFAO" I take back now what I just  said about you on the other topic here  :'( :'( :'( :'(  :) :) :) But your wrong I'm afraid for what I have seen.

1st, Never ever only feed once a day when breeding or you have young in the nest etc, it's wrong. Racing is a different matter/issue & it can be quite successful only feeding once a day. Many flyers I know have done it for years here, mainly because of work committments/time which just does not allow them to be at their lofts twice a day to feed & train them.

Enjoy  :P :P :P & I hope we can still be friends.

We have only ever fed once a day as such, the only thing they got in a morning was a bit of seed and they win.

think you  need to re read i because on  one hand you agree and other you dont , however there are fanciers that do win out of turn and arent able to feed twice aday , but if you have the time it is better  to feed twice aday , feeding once a day makes birds store fat after feeding there dropping will be fine then there dropings will lose consistancy , feeding twice aday makes the droppings consistant as arent relying on store energy as fat

so basicaly you work from 4 pm to between 2 am - 4 am , im sure you could fit feeding twice a day into that time scale , wifes and girlfriends are also handy , but if wishing to feed once a day id stay clear of feeding a mix thats heavy with maize and safflower , until later on in the week
