Guest llcoolj Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Hello Everyone. Does anyone fly Delbar pigeons. One of our club members left the country and he gave me couple of Delbar stock birds. I am not sure of them. Any idea? Ta
greenlands Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 The old Delbars that were around when I was a boy were very reliable especially on a hard day ,small to medium in the hand and easy to condition,a bird that I always liked. Lindsay
blackdog Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 yes lindsay, good birds for the distance mate, j l roberts had the best of them a few years ago.
Guest llcoolj Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 So I take it the new ones are not that good?
Guest llcoolj Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 Hey Blackdog Nice to see you here buddy.
blackdog Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 hi pal, how you getting on with the birds mate.
greenlands Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 So I take it the new ones are not that good? No ,please don't pick me up wrong ,I've never had any dealings with them for quite a while,I wouldn't condem any breed of pigeon, what suits one person may not suit another, different methods different results. They could be world beaters, there's only one way to find out.If you have no room for them I could try them and tell you what they are like. All joking apart, give them a try mate you might be surprised.Good luck . Lindsay.
