chickadee Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 I read on a thread that someone feeds their pigeons on dried bananas, can anyone add to this whether it is good for them or not I feed mine all sorts of things apart from corn mixes, ie elderberries, lettuce, broccoli, garlic, honey
cheeseman Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 never heard of feeding bananas, but i have been known to put a tub of cress into the loft and used garlic(purifys the blood) and honey in the water i suppose any greens would be good for them.
REDCHEQHEN Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 Dried bananas are very hard - I even have trouble eating them - would have thought is more for exotic birds

Guest Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 Banana Chips are one of the best sources for complex carbs you can get, they also tops for potassium. Ask yourself why any athlete doing endurance sport eats them, its because of the way they sugar which equals energy. Crush the chips into smaller pieces and give them to the birds.
