I phoned Julie - pigeonwidow -  Monday just gone, and asked if I was too late for a pick up / delivery. I had the birds down here in Northants on Thursday morning! Great service as you will all know by now. Have had two other couriers and they were good too, no too ways about that. Thanks Julie was well pleased and I am a happy chappie!

I also needed a bird picked up from Wales. I phoned three others, two that spout out on here on here. Thought I’d give the business to same courier.

I nipped up, last Monday to Wales and picked the bird up myself, and offered my services to any one I could help as I posted last Sunday. – I would have done normally anyway, but a member of the family has been in and out of Hospital of late. Hip replacement, and now had a part of his lung removed because of cancer. They think they have caught, and hopefully they have. So I was on call constantly as a driver lol. Meant I didn't want to be away too long.

As I was saying one reluctantly said he didn't know, but would come back to me.... that evening, still waiting. The other said they would phone me the day before to arrange pick up delivery etc. Dead loss that pair and that’s for sure.

Had phoned the one that picked up from me to go to Scotland earlier straight of as I thought he was very good. Again he was very good and forthright and apologetic. Saying he hated to say no straight off, but doubted he would be able to help in the very near future, but hoped that wouldn't put me off in future contacting him!

Put me off!  :-/ :-/ Of course not, I knew straight of exactly what was what and why. Of course I'd use him again, because there was no messing, no confabs, meaning I didn't waste time piddling about. Yes he said if any thing changed he would contact me to say so, but best I went elsewhere. Now that also, in my books a good service.

So once again Julie and Kevin thanks, very pleased I can assure you.

Hi Roland, i dont mean to sound nasty here mate but i dont know what your post has to do with us ??? I think you got the wrong courier as my name is neither Julie or Kev mate

Never said, nor implied that it was Julie etc..

Maybe a Mod will remove and put it in an ppropiate place.

AS for being nasty, I'd never thought you were.

Sorry mate i thought maybe you were leaving positive feedback for another courier so thought it would only be fair to put it on there thread so everyone seen it. It doesnt have to be removed i just thought you may have got the wrong courier i apologise mate.

No problem at all Mucker.... If you were one of them I'd say so. So, so there is no misunderstanding, I will state categorically you wasn't one of them ignorant couriers, and further I never actually did ask you in this regard.

I will admit though, in retrospect,  I probably should have posted under another heading!.

But, if one reads my post, I am actually placing you and Julie in good esteem! Obviously by the very fact that I wasn't calling you! Nor have took up umbrage, which I certainly would do if you was. Obviously it must go therefore, without saying, that you are deemed here as a very genuine person / courier wise, and that I have had no dealing with your form.

Good luck to you and you firm. Have a good festive season mucker.

I think couriers see if they have enough business to justify a trip whether it be Scotland or any other area outwith their local area, that is why they tend to say they will get back to you, sadly some don't but in fairness to Wayne he always does. It may take time and you think he has forgotten about you but he always does and he goes the extra mile to help you out

Dovescot we actually cover the whole of the UK every week, the only stipulation we ask is that we take your order the week before so we can plan the runs.

Roland thank you for your positive feedback.

Wayne apologies for intruding on your post.

I think the couriers that say they will get back to you are seeing if they have enough business before they commit, if like you then they give you an imeadiate answer then that is different, are you coming up to Scotland this week?

Roland, Pigeon Widow & Dovescot i apologise i didnt mean to get this into a argument it was just a mis understanding i thought Roland was leaving feedback for another courier & thought it was only right it be posted on there thread for fanciers to see. Thank You Roland for your explanation & i hope you got your order done mate.
