paired up start of this week and forgot how time consuming it is , with old hens in same section as last year and getting them to take to a new box . yearlings that don t look interested . must be to cold ? its hard work my dad usaully does it but hes been bedded up with flue .

ive already started had them in split boxes and then looked them up in boxes yesterday and locked up over night then let out on day time and then looking them up for 24 hours then go from that

PAIRED UP 2 WEEKS AGO ALL DOWN ON EGGS WHEN I PUT THEM TOGETHER THE WEATHER WAS ALRIGHT BUT THEN BANG THE WEATHER WAS BAD VERY COLD BUT SOULD BE ALRIGHT NOW BIRDS KEEPING THEM WARM NOW

TO early for me end of jan early feb cant be bothered with them geting off the eggs and yearlings acting the clown haveing a round of young when you havent started training the old birds to cold

i just want to get the breeding over on done then when the warn weather starts get the old bird trained up and ready and the young birds the same everyone i know is breeding early i done it last year and was happy with all my early bread youngers

Will be waiting a while before we pair up, weather still to cold, nearly finished my new stock loft pens, have gone for individual pens this year as i hate the time it takes pairing up, having to let pairs out one at a time etc.

 

Got the idea from ronnie williamsons loft.

Pens nearly finished. looking to get the cocks in there next weekend.
