dont you think its the price of amtrack that fanciers are scared get three birds in one week thats £75

fair enough if its a non fancier you must send for it

but if its a fellow fancier dont you think you should give the guy the chance do you want it or shall i keep it

if the rule was relaxed maybe more guys would phone back what your thoughts?

9 times out of 10 the birds that I get in are fed and watered for a few days, taken 70 miles or so nearer home and released, but all done after speaking to the owner in case its a favourite, stock bird unraced etc or the owner would rather amtrak anyway. The only problem is when birds persistently return, and the owners refuse to amtrak when you want them to !!  I have no objections to looking after stray birds for 2 weeks for them to recover or weather to improve, but only have room for 4, and that includes my own for 'sick bay' . Although I am not loaded I would personally amtrak home 9 out of 10 birds I have, or collect if within 70 miles or so

i send for my birds redcheq iam just giving the owner the option do you want it or not i think there are many guys on a pension who cant afford to send for them i would give them the option
