LouPee Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 The above bird has been in my garden for at least 24 hours. It also has a white ring on other leg saying 2088. I have been feeding it on rice and water - it is not injured. It is currently sun bathing, it doesn't seem to want to go home. Should I just leave it or what? I am near J35 M1 (sheffield).
frank-123 Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 hi lou pee the bird may hang around for a while till it regains its strength to search for home again if you could catch it and keep it in a card board box with holes made for air and report its ring number to ----- 01452713529 they will contact the owner who will get it collected from you thanks for taking the time to let us know any further advice just post again and someone will help you out

REDCHEQHEN Posted July 4, 2006 Report Posted July 4, 2006 DY246 LONG EATON H S Mrs G Shaw, 109 Longmoor Lane, Sandiacre, Nottingham NG10 5LT. Tel: 0115 9396641 Apologies, its a different no. in the 2006 list, however I haven't tried it. Bart has a point about the bird not being contained
LouPee Posted July 8, 2006 Author Report Posted July 8, 2006 I managed to contact the owner through the number you gave me and frankly he couldn't care less. So what should I do now, I really want it to go.
Guest shadow Posted July 8, 2006 Report Posted July 8, 2006 Report it to the RPRA and the owner will have to claim it or face suspension
