Karen Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Hi all I only registered to say this bird has been visiting my neighbour's garden since approx Friday. As I don't know much about pigeons (I have parrots ) I don't know whether it's lost, resting or just likes to eat other people's food.
rembrant2coo Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 where are you about karen ,what part of the country the secy of the club the bird belongs is mrs b harrison tel no 01772 467882 preston
Karen Posted April 15, 2008 Author Report Posted April 15, 2008 I'm in Darwen, Lancs. I tried ringing that number before we managed to get close enough to read the bird's ID #. I just found this and another forum (haven't had time to post on there yet) so thought I'd post. Should I really leave a message on Mrs. Harrison's phone? Sorry I don't know the protocol. I've never had anything to do with pigeons before. :B
REDCHEQHEN Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Leave a message - pigeons ring number - your name and telelphone number - secretary should then pass that message on to owner

Karen Posted April 17, 2008 Author Report Posted April 17, 2008 Hi all Just to let you know, Strawberry is now safely reunited with her owner Apparently the owner took his birds training and a hawk got at them. Luckily Strawberry was the only one missing so all ended well. Thanks for your help in giving me the number to ring. See you again if I find any more Karen
Peckedhen Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 Karen, thanks for helping to get this bird back to it's owner. Sue
Karen Posted April 17, 2008 Author Report Posted April 17, 2008 Karen, thanks for helping to get this bird back to it's owner. Sue Thanks Sue, I'm really glad she got home safely before one of our neighbours' stupid cats got her. She's a lovely bird - white, like your avatar, with a bit of red on her wings. She'd started to turn up on the kitchen windowsill just as my kids got home from school so my daughter's going to miss her.
