sjames86 Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 I recovered a pigeon with the above ring from two huge crows who were hell bent on killing it. It appears to have a injured wing with swelling (hence why it didnt fly from crows) but is otherwise okay, albeit a bit thin. It is now in my poultry shed in a pen with corn and water. Will the owner want this bird back if it is injured? S. James (Birmingham)
sjames86 Posted June 5, 2008 Author Report Posted June 5, 2008 I have been given details of the owner - Hendry Bros (Hamilton, Lanarkshire) but their phone number appears to be a fax line - does anyone have another contact for them? Also, i have splinted the birds wing so hopefully it will make a full recovery. *Note - bird also has an ETS ring*
Leroy Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 well done for going to the trouble of helping this lost bird. Hopefully someone more experienced will be along soon to help you with the info you need about the owner. Come on guys... Lee

sjames86 Posted June 6, 2008 Author Report Posted June 6, 2008 thanks for the number but it was the same one i tried before, so it must be their actual number. However i have tried 4 times now at different times in the day and i cannot get through, the phone redirects me and then nothing happens. They have been given my details but have not been in touch - not sure if i should keep trying?
