Hi folks,

Last week i was wondering how to get this hen back from away past Inveness area, 60 miles +, well i have been away at Glasgow all day trying to get the daughters passport, so i had to feed the birds earlier than normal, when i got back around 7.30, guess what, the hen was picking about in the garden, how delighted i was to see her. ;D ;D ;D

I phoned the lady who got her in and explained to her about being away all day, she told me that after the conversation i had with her husband on friday, explaining about the way the birds get lost etc, and people helping out how to get them back to there owners, the gentleman took the bird 10 miles from his house on Friday and let her go, the lady told me that the hen started to go back to there house then they lost sight of her, and said that she hasnt returned to them.

When i told her she was home, the lady was delighted for her. :) :) :)

I have told the lady to thank her husband and ofcourse herself as well, on the conditon the bird was in when i picked her up out the hut, apple bodied she is.

So guys, if you ever get a bird reported by a non fancier, dont give up with them as you can see they will help you get the bird back.

Dougie. :) :) :)
