krankin Posted January 21, 2009 Author Report Posted January 21, 2009 mornings past and birds still there, let me know if you can still come.
krankin Posted January 23, 2009 Author Report Posted January 23, 2009 anyone fancy giving pigeon catching a go? theyre depressing me sitting on that roof all the time, poor things.
joe61 Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 is there anyone up that way who could give this lady a hand and stop her from worrying you guys go on about giving the sport a bad image what do you think this does oh happy days
krankin Posted January 23, 2009 Author Report Posted January 23, 2009 thanks for your support i know im being a pain in the bum, but someone must be missing them. if i had a shed id happily let them stay, although my cat might think theyre dinner! i think its a lovely think to keep pigeons and regard the sport well so dont worry there was a local pigeon club in a football club very near where i live, but some little monsters set it on a fire a while back, otherwise im sure someone there wouldve had a go at catching them.
Peckedhen Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 I do hope that someone can help you to catch them. they must be getting pretty weak and hungry by now. You could help them by throwing down some pigeon food or budgie seed would do. They probably won't recognise bread as food and, even if they do, there's not much goodness in it. Good luck.
krankin Posted January 23, 2009 Author Report Posted January 23, 2009 thanks i have been leaving food but they wont come down to eat. i managed to get a little sweetcorn onto the roof theyre on, but as its quite windy i couldnt get any lentils or anything else light up there. my boyfriend managed to climb up and pop a tin of water in the guttering, but i dont know if theyve been using it. can just hope for the best eh.
Guest shadow Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 if they are ferals (wild ones) they will be very hard to catch they must be feeding somewhere else and just roosting near you
krankin Posted January 23, 2009 Author Report Posted January 23, 2009 will they be ok just roosting on the roof? i wouldve thought theyd be awfully cold and exposed?
