sapper756 Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 Delboy copied from Facebook I'm looking for some advice . I have Hermes electric boxes and they recently broke down and the belts stopped working. I have checked the fuses etc but nothing seems to work. I'm almost sure its something to do with the motor, can any pigeon fanciers advise?
HOMER49 Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 Hi Del Check nothing is jamming the belts or the belt is not over loaded If that is ok then the motor will be a TEFC try to remove the fan cover if you can remove the screws and the fan cover gently turn the plastic fan clock wise or anti clock wise (difficult to turn) stop sometimes the screws on the fan cover are very difficult if so leave them and go for splitting the motor and gearbox 3 or 4 hex headed screws with the motor and gearbox split see the motor turns free if so power the motor if it runs the gearbox or belt spindle is the problem if the motor does not run then the motor is u/s
sapper756 Posted January 29 Author Report Posted January 29 Unfortunately Delboy is having difficulty logging in to Basics. But has asked me to thank HOMER49 for his response
