david.j Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 not that hard to make and cheaper few slaters laths
Guest asha Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 david`s right, why pay for something you can make better yourself, what`s wrong with the fanciers of today? Bit of ply, truss batten, and perspex for the top, stained to match the fascia and soffit, better than anything i seen on here, just leave a slight gap under,so you can put a pair of runners and slide out your ETS and your birds clock as they hit the board, without going inside.
just ask me Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 david`s right, why pay for something you can make better yourself, what`s wrong with the fanciers of today? sapper756 Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 would be classed as outside loft Don,t take the bait
Guest asha Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 this does not break any rule at the present time.
just ask me Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 241. The antennae of the ETS must be fitted within the confines of the loft or trapping systems, not underneath external landing boards. Club officials may make random checks at any time. Contravention of this rule will result in disciplinary action under rule 70A. well think says other wise
Guest spin cycle Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 would be classed as outside loft i thought it was 'within confines of loft OR trapping system' ...in which case floor of sputnik is fine.
retired Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 I ended up practically giving mine away and i did actually give the perspex sputnik away (with plastic covers still on some of it) The wooden one was very simple in design, not that i would be able to build it myself but i certainly worked out the method lol.
retired Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 i thought it was 'within confines of loft OR trapping system' ...in which case floor of sputnik is fine. The way Asha described it though the pad would be actually outside the trap, inside of the trap is fine though
Guest spin cycle Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 The way Asha described it though the pad would be actually outside the trap, inside of the trap is fine though quite right....naughty asha caught me out (dizzy)
OLDYELLOW Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 i thought it was 'within confines of loft OR trapping system' ...in which case floor of sputnik is fine. if in a tray underneath the loft then not within the confines of loft or the trapping system just in a sliding box outside
Guest amar Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 im sure sum clever dodgy person will tweak the thing up so it clocks the birds in a mile away
OLDYELLOW Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 very hard to police where there put some might have a second pad and swipe birds on there roof :-/
Guest spin cycle Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 if in a tray underneath the loft then not within the confines of loft or the trapping system just in a sliding box outside yes but a false floor inside the sputnik with a pad 'sandwiched' bettween this and original floor would be ok....anyway come the agm...another rule142 etc and you'll probably be able to put pads anywhere
OLDYELLOW Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 you just need some tips but not PG-Tips
Guest dogeon Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 very hard to police where there put some might have a second pad and swipe birds on there roof :-/ each pad had different codes
gangster Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 question for all you who seem 2 think you could clock em on the roof.........YOU WOULD NEED 2 BE ABLE 2 PREDICT WERE YOUR BIRD WOULD LAND........MY ASS!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Guest asha Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 As i just posted, this system at the present time breaks no rule whatsoever, take a careful look at the rules on ets, this ideal is legit at present time, because ets was rushed through ,and any novice who would like a section drawing,i will sketch it out. PM,it certainly will be the differece between4-5- 6th or 1st,to the sprint minded.
OLDYELLOW Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 if you had a pad attached to one in loft and scaned the roof by hand you can move pad around as much as you wanted mick but i wouldnt be able as have a false ceiling in .
sapper756 Posted December 6, 2008 Report Posted December 6, 2008 I think we exauhsted the ETS pad topic a couple of days ago, this thread was simply someone asking where he could get a sputnik. :-/ Hijackers ;D ;D ;D
