mac1 Posted November 26, 2009 Author Report Posted November 26, 2009 why dont mods ask someone from anothers site [there mods] to judge jmo. my last reply to this save your fingers mate i will pm you where they have a good show, managed by a good young fancier
blaz Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 i think mac 1 should run it with ib bruno as the mod you send your pictures to ib to put up. as for Judges then that would be down to mac1 to get 1 or 2 or 10 his choice . i also think it should be run with the rules for it put up by mac1 . if it gets the go a head by the web master. hope you don,t mind mac but all would be talking about it come breeding season.if it carrys on till then hear is my entry ;D ;D ;D ;D shows are a bit of fun

sapper756 Posted December 1, 2009 Report Posted December 1, 2009 Good news to see that the "SHOW MUST GO ON"
mealybug Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 The young fancier isn't running the shows this year on the other site. Just get independent judges ie well known fanciers, everyone sends their pics to an oganiser who puts them up without names on, just a number. The thread's locked and the judge gives his/her decision after looking over the pictures. If anyone mentions their own photo it's disqualified.
ritchie1 Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 when does the show start and what birds are first
Guest strapper Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 why not have a class for best looking pairing..ie cock and hen ...but not mentioning what they have achieved.
chichichi Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I think if a show is to be run there must be an independat judge .. the pictures get posted on a thread and then the judge looks them over and messages the mod in charge and the winners are posted.. you can all have your say regarding what you think should win,, but the judge picks the winners.. All entries should be emailed to a mod or admin and they then load them from their photobucket account.. As long as you select a good judge you will be ok.. so select a top fancier or showman to select the winners.. classes could be ,, old bird,, young bird,, show bird,, coloured bird,, final.. best of luck ant
Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 what about a fancy class as well for the people who dont keep racing pigeons lets cater for all on the site
THE FIFER Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 Thought about that, but how does such a class work with so many different type's ? I think they just have one class for fancy birds. a mixture. sort of non racing/birds
blaz Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 what about a fancy class as well for the people who dont keep racing pigeons lets cater for all on the site that would be good to see with alot of diffrent breeds .
Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 i think it would create more interest and will be a bit different to the other sites . i loved to see a fancy class
chichichi Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 The problem that would arise for a fancy class would be numbers,, I would expect 90% of members on here to own racing or show pigeons,, I also expect about 10 to 20% will have fancy birds.. so if only a couple per member you could have a class with very few entries.. by picking what everyone has you can guarentee a big class .. jmo.. I always love to look at the fancy birds at the big shows.. but i think you would struggle to get a good amount of photos sent in.. but if you wanted why not do a poll to see what the membership wants regarding a show and what classes.. simple then,, best of luck ant
Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 true ant but shouldnt we cater for all on the site and just the 90 % of racing fanciers and its no gd having a vote because the fancy fanciers will get out voted . if there is only two per class than that shall be but lets cater for all and not just us racing fanciers
chichichi Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 I agree and love to see the fancy birds,, another problem would be they look very different,, tumblers from the ones with feathered feet.. I think it would be hard to judge on a level playing field,, some look very skinny with big whattles,, other look like peancock with huge feathers,, at the shows they all stay together in breed,, so the judging would be not for the faint hearted.. I agree though we should highlight all the birds in shows.. and as its for fun every thing should be shown.. but time and work is the problem i think.. lots will pair up soon and we normally have the shows before this.. but a pairs show is also a good idea,, pair your birds up and take a pic of the 2 in the box.. best of luck and its nice to see us talking about shows coming back on here,, they were excellent when they last did them.. ant
maverick Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 we had this class before for fancy birds and you would be surprised how many were entered it is all for a bit of fun and when did everyone agree with the judges no matter what was on show
ritchie1 Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 the shows are now started on here floks the old cocks are now up to look at
sapper756 Posted December 14, 2009 Report Posted December 14, 2009 Vallance has asked for comments on the birds, but I can not find the "REPLY" box :-/ on the thread :'(
