grizzle09 Posted October 11, 2023 Author Report Share Posted October 11, 2023 **2024 SUMMER SERIES UPDATE** I've had loads of questions about next year recently so I thought I'd outline everything in a post to save replying to everyone individually so here goes, We plan to build another loft exactly the same as the original which will be built on to the end giving us 200x15 ft! With the new loft build finished we'll be able to comfortably keep and care for a maximum of 1600 pigeons this being at least 400 pigeons less than capacity to ensure plenty room to grow! Based on a full loft of 1600 pigeons we'll be able to offer a much bigger prize pot and of course we will be introducing top cash alternative prizes along the way, ............................................................... The Loft! Internally - we plan to add a 4 feet corridor down the back running the full legnth of the loft allowing us to corridor feed and water without walking through the birds, The perches will be upgraded to box perching on both the corridor wall and front wall below the aviary giving the birds plenty choice of where to perch, Extractor fans and fans will also be added to help with the movement of fresh air inside the loft when the birds go onto the darkness system this will in turn keep the health of the pigeons as strong as possible during this time, Externally - the trapping area will be changed to where landing boards will run the complete length of the loft above the polycarbonate front, when finished it'll give the birds 20 drop ins to choose from on arrival which should solve the problem of some birds not registering on benzing when too many land at the same time, Further more, state of the art UHD 4k cameras will be installed to give fanciers the best viewing experience possible on race day which will be available to view on our YouTube channel, Race Program! We plan to carry out another 8 Race Program which again is designed to truely test your pigeons again flying a route down the West coast of Scotland and as of next year into Ireland which I consider the most challenging terrain in the UK! With not only the largest mountain ranges and national parks to test they're capabilities they'll also face water crossings for the Semi Final and Final, We believe One Loft Racing should be the ultimate challenge when it comes to pigeon racings and because of that we'll endeavour to offer everything you can't get in club racing so when entering the Moray Firth One Loft Classic you can be assured your pigeons will be put through their paces as they fly against some of the best pigeons on offer throughout the country and abroad - More info to follow 😁 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
