REDCHEQHEN Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 frans zwol and nico van der veen seem to be the only 2 with 2 birds inside the top 15, thats damn good flying by both guys, cheers spencer Harry Luinge was 2nd and 6th nil point for observation (evil)
timbarra Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 sorry redcheq... well since he had the best 2 pigeons placed overall maybe they are the ones to have . nil points for my observations but credit to you for pointing this exremely good result out, the best result i think as consistancy is a key issue in our game.
swilcox Posted April 30, 2008 Author Report Posted April 30, 2008 I have taken alot of orders for latebreds from my Frans Zwols x moleveld family, i have the possibilty of breeding maybe another 6 only so be quick as there will not be any more until 2009. Stuart

swilcox Posted May 2, 2008 Author Report Posted May 2, 2008 Good on you Andrew i have given you stick and your giving some back!! Firstly thank you for pointing out have competative Afd 10 which often sends upto 20,000b and esp Rayon which contains some top guys such as Koopman, Vredeveld etc. Now i believe it was Schouwman that said a couple of years ago on this Forum its not what a fancier wins but what he breeds for other that counts when buying pigeons, well the list below will go some way to explain why i believe that Doctor Frans Zwols has a super strian of pigeons. Dennis Kroes, Zwartemeer I could list in full the results that just 8 ybs crossed with Raymonds Janssens have won for me in just 11 races but i guess that wasnt on your agenda. Frans is a very nice old guy who doesnt clean out and doesnt work to hard with his pigeons due to being a doctor, he gets some very good results against 1000's of pigeons flying against the likes of Koopman, Vredeveld, Berends, Lahuis, Lotterman etc and he is the first to admit he isnt the best in Afd 10, but his pigeons win for others and they win for me and thats what i believe is the most important fact. And Andrew check the dates, 2004, 2005, 2006, no pre milenium results please. As a non racing fancier Andrew it must be nice to dream you can win everything every week but in reality it just doesnt work that way, Frans does dominate that combine but then again nor does Koopman!!!! Who often send 190 plus pigeons. Stuart
swilcox Posted May 2, 2008 Author Report Posted May 2, 2008 Andrew Andrew you forgot to tell everyone about the Blauwe 43 who was recently sold to Gerrard Koopman for 20,000 euro. The Bluawe 43 1e/6.650b 1e/5.404b, 1e/1.057b 2e/1693b All in 2007 and won the Best Mid Fond Bird in Holland and the West European Landen Cup at Dortmund, his dam was bred by Frans Zwols.

Her dam was also bred by Frans Zwols. 1st From 14,000b

I have personally seen and handled these birds of Stuart's and they are class, as their results prove. And no doubt these bloodlines will be entering my lofts at some stage in the future too.
andrew Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 hi, i am not knocking the person he does well to fly against some tough competition in that area of hollland, i have personally visited members in that area of holland so i should know. With regards to Mick b i am working on listing our results please give me a few weeks and ill get back to you andrew
swilcox Posted May 2, 2008 Author Report Posted May 2, 2008 Andrew Was not those results with Deweerdts (from the Windsors and Gilbert) and De Klaks?? Both of which you have sold???? Your father raced a sharp pigeon that cant be questioned, but i was under the impression you sold the De Klaks and Deweerdts??? and now have Distance Grizzles and Meulemans, if so only results from these two families please as thats all thats relevant. Otherwise i will have to drag all the Van Reet performances out from 1998-2003 and that will be a bore!!! and as they are long gone possibly very mis-leading. Stuart
dazza Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 Post 24. Not wishing to be too critical or be negative i wonder just how fantastic and competitive racing is over there. Can't knock anyone topping a fed of 3500 birds, but his second bird is 2m and 15 secs behind his first and only 6 pigeons in between! On a 1600yd per minute race i would of expected the racing to be closer with all the racing experts flying in that area.
swilcox Posted May 2, 2008 Author Report Posted May 2, 2008 Hi Daz You may well be right, i dont know what sort of weather it was/ wind or owt like that. Rayon 10 which is a fed does dominate Afd 10 (upto 20,000b) esp in the short to middle distance races and young birds and does contain koopman, Vredeveld etc who the Dutch rate as there best, thats what i ment by competative, there are a few pro's in that area and Frans is a working Doctor so i think he does well!!! With regard to the actual racing!!! I suppose we would have to race in it to know that.
Merlin Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 Nice to be privy to differences of opinion/discussions/based on factual matter, than one based on pettinness, churlishness, downright ignorance/and name calling/and threatening/intimidating P.Ms,this is how it should be aired, re differences of opinion. with some dignity. Sorry for going somewhat off thread.
Guest Posted May 2, 2008 Report Posted May 2, 2008 hi, i am not knocking the person he does well to fly against some tough competition in that area of hollland, i have personally visited members in that area of holland so i should know. With regards to Mick b i am working on listing our results please give me a few weeks and ill get back to you andrew Andrew, i hope these are reults from the families you are currently promoting and not from the families you and your dad were racing. I know full well that your dad (and possibly you and your brother) flew a good bird, as i stated before you beat me for 1st Fed Bergerac in my very last race, (although i was 30 miles west of you in a strong northwest wind ) and i heard about the classic win and the top international performance(s) and i congratulate you on them all. But if these birds are the real deal then i am sure you won't be using any results that these families never actually achieved, and must be quite a few to take a few weeks to compile them all.
swilcox Posted May 3, 2008 Author Report Posted May 3, 2008 The buggers were 1st 2nd (distance hen) 3rd 4th again, the returns were a bit disapointing this week though. Stuart
